We give festive boost to Family Support Link

This Christmas, we gave a boost to Northamptonshire charity, Family Support Link. Throughout the festive season, they held a donation appeal for those in need and we were pleased to offer £750 towards this.

The donation will offer Christmas luxuries – which are often taken for granted – to local families in need. Rather than supporting families with basic food, the donation will allow families and individuals to enjoy Christmas puddings, crackers and chocolate; non-essential items, but a much-needed treat during the festive season.

Family Support Link has been providing free and accessible support to individuals and families affected the substance misuse since 2007, delivering services that include group and personal support sessions with trained workers and a confidential support helpline. Family Support Link joined us at our Community Fun Day back in September, and we are delighted to continue our support for the Wellingborough charity though winter; often a tough time for struggling families.

Julia Feazey, CEO at Family Support Link, said:

“Ensuring that those in Wellingborough who are struggling have a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas this year is very important to us. We’re so grateful to Glenvale Park for this kind contribution which will allow us to give some small luxuries to people in the community who are in need.

“We hope that this donation will mean those we support can rest a little easier this holiday and enjoy some traditional festive treats.”

Mark Best, Director of Northants LLP, the developers behind Glenvale Park, said:

“We’re really proud to support a local charity doing such important work in Northamptonshire, especially at this time of year where we take little luxuries for granted. Everyone deserves a joyful Christmas and to be able to give back to the local community is a real privilege – we’re delighted to lend a hand to Family Support Link once again.”
