We give boost to school’s gardening club

We’ve given a boost to The Avenue Infant School’s gardening club, just in time for Spring. The developers donated £100 towards equipment for the club, as well as donating fresh topsoil to the school.

The gardening club gives children at The Avenue Infant School the chance to spend time in open space, experiencing nature, and learn more about the environment and how to take care of it. With the donation, the school purchased new plant pots and seeds for the club, giving some new equipment to the eager-to-learn pupils.

Helen Morrall, Headteacher at The Avenue Infant School, said:

“We’re so grateful to Glenvale Park for this kind donation to our gardening club. Our pupils love spending time in the school’s green areas and the boos to our funds – as well as our topsoil – will really help the children get the most out of our club, especially as we head into Spring and start to see some warmer weather.”

Mark Best, Director of Northants LLP, said:

“We’re proud to support local schools in and around Wellingborough with any of their ongoing initiatives or with any causes that mean a lot to them. We’re hopeful that the equipment will help the children at The Avenue Infant School to learn more about gardening, plants and the environment and are pleased that the new kit is being put to good use already.”
