Residents plant a legacy at Glenvale Park

There were smiles aplenty as residents were able to leave their mark on our green open space on Saturday 25th June.

Our tree planting event allowed residents to leave a natural and sustainable legacy for years to come. Residents were also able to try out food from well-loved local restaurant, June Plum.

Special guest Cllr Jon Ekins, Mayor of Wellingborough Town Council, planted a tree and said a few words to mark the occasion. Also in attendance were members from North Northants Council alongside local environmental organisations.

Cllr Jon Ekins, Mayor of Wellingborough Town Council, said:
“The tree planting event at Glenvale Park was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the progress of the development and welcome new residents.

“Giving those who live here the chance to plant a tree on the green spaces lets them have a piece of the development which will grow with them for a long time, further demonstrating Glenvale Park LLP’s commitment to social value, placemaking and community spirit. I look forward to any future events hosted at the development.”

Mark Best, Director of Midtown Capital, Managing Partners of Glenvale Park LLP, said:
“Today was a great opportunity to celebrate our residents and a wonderful way for people living on the development to leave a lasting legacy for years to come. It will be fantastic for everyone to watch their trees grow over the coming years.

“We’re so pleased that the day was a success and that the residents enjoyed planting their trees, sampling local food and drinks, playing games and getting to know one another at our tree planting event.

“We’re working on a programme of events for the rest of the year and into 2023 for both residents and the wider community – watch this space for more details!”
