Wellingborough Walking Football Club season kicks off thanks to sponsorship from Glenvale Park

Glenvale Park LLP is also facilitating the use of the development’s multi-use games area for the team club to hold beginners’ sessions, helping to involve more members of the local community.

Patrick Curtis, Chairman of Wellingborough Redwell Walking Football Club, commented: “We’re really pleased to have Glenvale Park as our sponsor – with the development being a large new part of the local community, we’re looking forward to recruiting new members from among the residents and making use of the facilities onsite.

“Walking football is an accessible way for over 50s to get involved in a sport, get outside, get fitter, improve mental health, and build new friendships whilst taking things at their own pace. The team club is hugely important to everyone that’s a part of it and it’s great to have Glenvale Park supporting us.”

Wellingborough Redwell Walking Football Club currently has over 40 members and plays every Thursday all year round at Redwell Leisure Centre, whatever the weather.

Mark Best, Director of Midtown Capital, Managing Partner of Glenvale Park LLP, said: “At Glenvale Park, we want to leave a much bigger legacy than bringing new homes to the area, which is why we’re so proud to be able to support Wellingborough Redwell Walking Football Club. The club i It’s a real lifeline for its members and we hope that some of our new residents will soon become part of the team club.

“We wish the team the best of luck for the rest of the inaugural Northamptonshire FA Walking Football league and look forward to seeing their numbers grow.”
