The visit follows an exciting year for the development, filled with achievements that are helping to shape Glenvale Park into a vibrant community and the perfect place to call home.

From new sports pitches and a bustling local centre to the formation of Glenvale Park Football Club and a new primary school, Glenvale Park has seen incredible growth and development in the last 12 months. Here are the top ten milestones that have made this year so special for Glenvale Park and its residents:

5 – Residents add a splash of colour with community bulb planting

Residents of Glenvale Park came together to plant 3,000 spring bulbs to represent the 3,000 homes that will complete the development by the time it’s finished. The project was led by the Glenvale Park Residents’ Association and supported by Glenvale Park Care Home, Bosworth Garden Centre, Burton Latimer and volunteers across the development.

6 – Glenvale Park’s new local centre officially opened

Construction of the local centre was officially completed with the new amenity hub welcoming a range of exciting establishments including locally founded Bewiched Coffee, Co-op and popular chicken shop franchise, Wingers, to name a few.

7 – Community heart defibrillator installed

An AED heart defibrillator was installed at the front of the Glenvale Church of England Primary School thanks to the Glenvale Park Residents’ Association which led the project to completion and Barratt Homes which provided a generous donation.

8 – Plans submitted for retirement living

Plans have been submitted for a brand-new McCarthy Stone retirement living facility which will deliver thoughtfully designed retirement apartments with well-maintained gardens and ample community spaces for socialising.

9 – New gym announced to join the local centre

Urban Gym Ltd is set to open a state-of-the-art fitness facility which will provide a wide range of activities and classes, including group personal training sessions. The fully equipped 4,500 sq ft space is set to open in summer 2025.

10 – Phase 2 plans set to create more outdoor spaces

Plans have been submitted for high quality homes and a host of exciting new amenities and spaces designed to bring people together. Over half of the second phase will create new open public spaces with the existing woodland protected. Wildflower meadows, trees and species-rich grassland will also be planted to enrich the outside spaces at Glenvale Park.

Additionally, the plans will deliver new sports pitches and a pavilion as well as an employment space that will support the delivery of an estimated 2,000 jobs.
